Sloppy Genealogy

I can't believe all the sloppy genealogy at ancestry.com, where descendants of Britton Brassell & LaDicey Davis are attaching Brittain & Judah's Nash Co., NC census records to their Britton Brassell & LaDicey Davis, placing them as a son and daughter-in-law to Jacob Braswell, in Nash Co., NC, whose REAL son Brittain married Judah, had children Duke W, Davis B, Jacob Green & Lurana.

Brittain (Judah's) inherited slaves, named in Jacob's will, by name, and they are mentioned in Brittain's Bibb Co., GA estate papers, by name. It's a perfect match.

The paper trail is perfect, it's DNA proved, and it is ignored. It's an epidemic of ignorance out there, in spite of easily accessible information just by googling names and counties.

Britton's son James who lived next door to Britton's son William matches the Braswells 4 marks out of 12. Hopefully some one will find this on a google search and correct their family tree.
