1805 - Charity (Braswell) Hedgepeth's Will


In the name of God Amen I Charity Hedgepeth of the County of Robeson and State of North Carolina being sick of body but of perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form following First I give and bequeath to my Daughter Charity Hedgepeth one Bed and furniture two cows and calves one pot one mar and negro wench Pink two boys Abraham and Cary Second I give and bequeath to my Grand Son James Ard one cow and calf two negros Boys Frank and Rubin one Bed my will and desire is that if my gran son Thomas (?) Ard should Dy without an Ear that my Daughter Charity Should have the aforesaid two negros I do hereby appoint my friend Lamuel Thompson and Rober Pitman Executors to this my last will and Testament in witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 8 day of June 1805 Signed Sealed published and declared in the presence of
