1820 - Kindred Braswell Jr Deceased


State of Georgia}  Know all men by these presents that
Emanuel County}  I Kindred Braswell of the State and County aforesaid for and in consideration of the natural love good will and affection which I have for Elizabeth Braswell daughter of Kindred Braswell Junr. deceased I do hereby give grant and Convey and have by these presents given granted and Conveyed unto the said Elizabeth Braswell the following property to wit. Two Cows & their Yearlings one cow and her calf & a dry cow and two year olds which Said cattle or property and their Increase I do warrant to the Said Elizabeth Braswell against myself and all & every other person or persons claiming or to claim the Same by virtue of these presents In testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of October Eighteen hundred and Twenty

1859 - Gideon Yelverton & Nancy Braswell POA


State of Georgia}  Know all men by
Schley County}  these presents that we Gideon Yelverton & his wife Nancy Yelverton of the County & State aforesaid - Heirs at Law of Richard Braswell decd late of Robeson County North Carolina and Heirs at Law of Margaret Braswell Decd. of said County of Robeson in said State of North Carolina, - also Heirs at Law of Henry Braswell, Decd. late of Marion District, South Carolina, have Nominated Constituted Appointed & do by these presents Nominate, constitute & appoint James Braswell of the County of Butler & State of Alabama, our true & lawful Attorney in Fact, for as & in our Name to demand, Sue  for, recover & ------- all money, property or effects of any Kind & descreption which we are Entitled to in the said County of Robeson in the State of North Carolina, or in the District of Marion as aforesaid, in the State of South Carolina, or elsewhere as heirs at Law, next of Kin or distributees of Richard Braswell Decd. late of Robeson Co. N.C, and of Margaret Braswell of the same place, and of Henry Braswell Decd, late of the State of South Carolina, Marion District, and we hereby authorize & empower our said Attorney to Execute & deliver all Instruments & ------ whatsoever, whether with in -------- Seal, which may be necessary for the purposes aforesaid - to institute & prosecute to the final Judgement & Execution, all process in law or Equity to submit any & all matters in dispute, or the same to settle & compromise as shall seem best for our interest at his discretion - to appoint one or More Substitutes under him & the same to revoke at his Pleasure, & generally to do & perform all such acts, Matters & things as our said attorney shall deem Necessary & Expedient, as we might or Could do if we were present & acting in person, Hereby satisfying & Confirming all Singular the acts of our said attorney or his substitute Deem (?) by virtue & in persuance (?) of these presents - In testimony whereof, we have herewith Set our hands & seals, this the twenty fifth day of October AD 1859.

1805 - Charity (Braswell) Hedgepeth's Will


In the name of God Amen I Charity Hedgepeth of the County of Robeson and State of North Carolina being sick of body but of perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form following First I give and bequeath to my Daughter Charity Hedgepeth one Bed and furniture two cows and calves one pot one mar and negro wench Pink two boys Abraham and Cary Second I give and bequeath to my Grand Son James Ard one cow and calf two negros Boys Frank and Rubin one Bed my will and desire is that if my gran son Thomas (?) Ard should Dy without an Ear that my Daughter Charity Should have the aforesaid two negros I do hereby appoint my friend Lamuel Thompson and Rober Pitman Executors to this my last will and Testament in witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 8 day of June 1805 Signed Sealed published and declared in the presence of

1787 - Nathan Brassell to Joakim Hudson


THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH I Nathan Braswell of Richmon County and State of North Caroliina for and in Consideration of the Sum of Sixteen Pound Lawfull Money of Said State to Me in hand paid by Joakim Hudson of the County of Anson and State aforesaid at and before the Sealing and Delivering these presents the Receipt and payment Whereof I Hereby Acknowledge that I the Said Nathan BraswellBargained Sold and Delivered and by these presents Do Bargain Sell and Deliver unto the Said Joakim Hudson a tract or parcil of Land Lying and being in the County and State aforesaid on the So. West Side of Pee Dee river on Pelhams fork a Begining at a hickory & Runs No. 30 Chains & 25 Links to a poast oak then East 33 Chains & 25 Links Crossing said Creek to a pine then So. 30 Chains & 25 Links to a post oak then Wst. 33 Chains & 25 links Crossing Said Creek to the Begining it Being all that was Granted to the Said Nathan Braswell for one Hundred Acres of Land Dated the fourteenth of October one thousand Seven Hundred & Eighty Three as by Record May appear Which sd. Land I the Said Nathan Braswell Do warrant and forever Defend the sd. Land unto the sd. Joakim Hudson his heirs and assigns for Ever and all appurtenances I the Said Nathan Braswell Do Sell assign & Set over & Defend unto the Said Joakim Hudson his heirs and asigns with the Improvements & Heriditaments thereunto belonging Unto the said Joakim Hudson or his heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns against all Claim or or (?) 1785 - Benjamin Brassell to Britton Brassell


THIS INDENTURE Made this Witnesseth that I Benjamin Brassell of Anson County and State of No. Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of the sum (?) of Twenty five pounds to me in hand paid by Britain Brassell of the County and State afsd at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged and I the said Benjm. Brassell have bargained & sold and delivery and by these presents doth bargain and deliver unto Britain Brassell all that plantation tract or parcel of land lying in Anson County on the West side of Pee Dee River on Pelhams forks Beginning at a post oak in Nathaniel Bivens line and runs with said Bivens line No. 80 chains crossing said fork to a red then So. 45 W. 19 chs. to a post oak then So. 37 chains to a red then No. 85 Wt. 60 chs. to Nathan Brassell corner post oak then with said Brassells line then Wt. 23 chains crossing of said creek to a stake in said Brassells line then No. 30 chs. to the Beginning one hundred acres of land as by the patent & plan granted to Benjm. Brassell the 14th day of October 1783 which I the said B Brassell do forever sell make over unto the said Britain Brassell his heirs and assigns and I the said the said Benjamin Brassell against all kinds of claims of any person or persons whatsoever pretending to lay claim thereunto and I the said Benjamin Braswell will warrant and forever defend the said land with the appurtenances thereunto belonging according to the rights of said patent & grant unto the said Britain Brassell his heirs Exctrs. Admrs. or assigns in manner and form afsaid. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 20th day of August in the 10th year of our Independence and in the year of our Lord 1785. State to me in hand paid by Joakin Hudson of the County and State aforesaid at and before the Sealing and Delivering these presents the Receipt and payment whereof I hereby Acknowledge that I the sd. Britain Braswell Bargained Sold and Delivered and by these Presents Do Bargain Sell and Deliver unto the sd. Joakim Hudson a tract or parcel of Land Lying and being in county of Anson and State aforesaid Containing one hundred Acres of Land Granted to Benjamin Braswell the fourteenth Day of October 1783 and from him Conveyed to Britain Braswell 1785 Lying and being in the County of Anson On the So.
