Peter Wynne's Will, Burke Co., GA, 1770

1770 – December 18, In the Name of God Amen I Peter Wynne of Georgia and parish of St. George planter being of perfect mind and memory make this my last Will and Testament first I desire to be desently Buried Secondly I desire all my Debts be justly paid the Resedue of my Estate good Chattles Stock negroes and moneys whatsoever to me appertaineth at the time of my Departure I give in manner and form following; first I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Wynne my track of Land I now live on also my best feather Bed & Rideing Horse and the Crop of Corn that is now on my plantation also my negrow man named Toney also to my daughter Mary Whitehead I give five pounds Starling worth of Cattle the resedue of my Estate I desire may be Equilly Devided between my son Peter Wynne and my son Thomas Wynne and my Daughter Patty Breazeal & I do appoint my son Peter Wynne and my son in law Elijah Brazeal the hole and sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby utterly revoke Disallow and Disannul all former Bequests wills and Legacies by me heretofore in any --- wife (?) Left or made Declaring ratifying and Confirming this & no other to be my last will and Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eighteenth Day of December One thousand seven hundred and Seventy --

Personally appeared Jesse Wiggons one of the Subscribing Witnesses to the within written last Will and Testament of Peter Wynne of the same Parish Planter Deceased who being duly Sworn on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God made oath that he was present and did seethe said Testator sign seal publish pronounce and declare the same to be and Contain his last will and Testament and that he was of sound and disposing mind and memory to the best of his knowledge & belief and that he with Robert
Morgan and Daniel Lott Subscribed their names as Witnesses to the said will at the request and in the presence of the said Testator and in each others presence
