Update regarding the K/L DNA group with 3 ancestors in:

Halifax Co., NC = Elijah Braswell son of Drew who in 1786 lived next door to James Braswell Jr who was in records with Benjamin, Simon & Joseph Braswell.

Screven Co., GA = John Braswell. Simon Braswell's administrator lived on Brier Creek, as did David Emanuel Jr who appears to have been the guardian of John Braswell after his father James died.

Colleton/Barnwell Co., SC = Henry Carter. Joseph Braswell's administrator was on the same waterway, Salkehatchie River/Swamp as Henry Carter's father in law, Abraham Hiers. Exactly how Henry Carter & Joseph Braswell are connected is unknown at this time.

What do James Jr, Simon & Joseph have in common other than DNA? James Braswell Sr, their father, who appears to be the son of Susannah Burgess Braswell. James Sr (in VA)lived adjacent to Susannah's cousin, Samuel Atkinson, and on a nearby creek lived William Cain Sr whose son William Jr married Sarah Braswell, daughter of James Braswell Sr.
