Notice is hereby given to all persons having demands against Simon Braswel, deceased, to present them to me properly made out, within the time prescribed by law, so as to show their character and amount. 1724 - February 17, Thomas Howell of Albemarle County in North Carolina to Edward Boykin, Jr., of Isle of Wight County. . . 100 acres on the south side of main Blackwater adjoining Seacock Swamp (being a patent granted said Howell in 1702. Petition of Sol. Boykin for 200 Acres read
Read a petition of Solomon Boykin setting forth that he had been about Eight Months in the Province from Virginia had had no other Land granted him and was desirous to obtain Land for Cultivation having a Wife and eight Children Therefore praying for two hundred Acres on the south Side of Briar Creek butting on the said Creek and lying between Lands granted John Emanuel and John Wells--

RESOLVED That on Condition only that the Petitioner doth take out a Grant for the said Land within seven Months from this Date and that he doth also register the said Grant in the Register's Office of the said Province within Six Months from the Date thereof that his Majesty may not be defrauded of his Quit Rents the prayer of the said Petition is granted--

Read a Petition of Edward Boykin setting forth that he had had two hundred Acres of Land granted him and was desirous to obtain an additional Tract having a Wife a Child and four Negroes Therefore praying for two hundred Acres on the north side of Briar Creek to adjoin Lands of John Brantley on the lower side--
RESOLVED That on Condition only that the Petitioner doth take out a Grant for the said Land within seven Months from this Date and that he doth also register the said Grant in the Register's Office of the said province within Six Months from the Date thereof that his majesty may not be defrauded of his quit Rents the Prayer of the said petition is granted--

Petition of David Emanuel for 100 acres read
Read a Petition of David Emanuel Junior setting forth that he was the son of David Emanuel of Halifax and being of Age was desirous to obtain a Piece of land whereon to settle Therefore praying for One hundred Acres at the Mouth of a Creek called Brushy Creek, about three Miles from Briar Creek and six Miles from Land granted George Walker.
