Brittain Braswell, Nash co., NC 1821
This deed was not registered until 1853.
This Indenture made this twenty fourth day of September In the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and twenty one by and between Brittain Braswell of the County of Nash and State of North Carolina of the one part and Molly Vick Daughter of Nathan Vick of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Brittain Braswell for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty Dollars In hand by the said Molly Vick the receipt whereof the said Brittain Braswell doth acknowledge and him fully satidfyd and have given and granted and sold and delivered unto the said Molly Vick her heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being the County aforesaid on the North side of Pigbasket Creek. The exact courses is not known. But the aforesaid Land is bounded by the Lands of Dempsey Morris Benjamin Denson Sion Beckwith Dempsy Braswell William and James Braswell and Jesse Braswell and Woodard Lines all the Land within the said Bounds supposed to Contain four hundred acres be the same more or less with the reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders and every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the said Land and premises unto the aforesaid Molly Vick her heirs and assigns forever and the said Brittain Braswell doth hereby agree to Warrant & defend the title of the said Land unto the sd Molly Vick her heirs and assigns forever - In Witness whereof I the sd. Brittain Braswell hath set his hand and affixed his seal the day and date above written

The foregoing Deed of sale from Brittain Braswell to Molly Vick is offered for probate and the hand writing of L.F. Ellen the subscribing witness thereto being duly proven by the Oath of Asail (?) Vick whereupon the said Deed is ordered to be registered

NOTE: This Brittain is the son of Jacob Braswell. This deed was not registered until 1853, years after Brittain had died in Bibb County, Georgia. His wife was Judah, his children were Davis B(rittain), Duke W., Jacob Green & Lurana.
