This Indenture made this the ninth day of August i the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty Six between Jesse Braswell (Senr.) of the County of Nash and State of North Carolina of the one part and Hansel Braswell of the County and State aforesaid of the other witnesseth that the Said Jesse for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred and fifty Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Hansel the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and him self therewith Satisfied hath this day given granted Bargained and Sold and by these presents doth give grant Bargain and sell alien and Enfeof unto the Said Hansel Braswell a Certain Tract or parcel of Land Lying and being in the County and State aforesaid it being the tract of Land on which the said Jesse now Lives and bound as followeth on the East by the Lands of John Evans & the public Road on the north abnd north East by the Lands of Richmond Walker and others South by the Wobbleton Land or Guilford Whitfields Supposed to Contain three hundred and Eighty nine acres be the Same more or Less to have and to hold unto the Said Hansel Braswell and his heirs together with all the profits and appertenances thereunto belonging and the Said Jesse Braswell well doth hereby warrant and defend the Right and title to te above mentioned Land to the Said Hansel against the Claim or Claims of all persons whatsoever in Testimony of all which I have hereunto Set my hand and seal this the day and dater above written
