1801 - Rebecca Braswell to Ann Braswell
226} Know all men by these presents that I Rebecca Braswell so Called of the State of Georgia and Jackson County for and consideration of the sum of five hundred Dollars to me in hand paid and before the sealing and delivering of these presents by Ann Braswell So Called of the State and County aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged I the said Rebecca Braswell have bargained Sold and by these presents doth bargain sell and deliver unto Ann Braswell So Called one Negroe woman Named Rachel about fifteen years old to the said Ann Braswell her Heirs Executors Administrators or assigns to have and to hold the sd Negro Rachel together with all her Increase and I the said Rebecca Braswell Do (?) and will warrant and for ever Defend the Title of Said Negro from myself my heirs - and from all and every person or persons whatsoever Given under my hand and seal this 14th Day October in the year of one thousand Eight hundred and one
