Before the establishment of the land office in Cahaba, property in this section of Alabama was placed up for auction in Milledgeville Georgia. Records later transferred to Cahaba's land office in 10-10-1818 then to Dallas County Alabama and lastly to Greenville, Butler county Alabama.
