Samuel Braswell, Nash Co., NC 1788

This Indenture made this 11th day of May in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and eighty eight Between Isham Hines of the County of Nash and state of North Carolina of the one part and Samuel Braswell of the County and state Aforesd of the other part Witnesseth that the said Isham Hines for and Inconsideration of the sum of eighty pounds specie to him in hand paid hath given Granted bargained Sold unto the said Samuel Braswell his heirs and assigns forever a Certain tract or Parcel of land lying on the north side of stony Creek in the County & state aforesd Containing Two hundred and thirty (?) three acres be the same more or less within the following bound Beginning at a White oak Thomas Hunters Corner runing West 180 pole to a pine thence North 270 pole to a Corner pine thence east 180 pole to a Corner to a oak from thence to the frst Station the same being part of asurvey of Land Containing seven hundred acres being Granted By his Excellency Richd Caswell bearing date the tenth day of November one Thousand Seven hundred and Seventy Nine Together with all the appurtenances Thereunto Belonging unto him the said Saml Braswell his heirs and assigns forever In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and affix my Seal this 11th day of May 1788
