* James Brassell, Jones Co., GA 1813

This Indenture made this twelvth day of March in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred & thirteen & in the thirty seventh year of American Independence between William Morris of the State of Georgia & Wilkes County of the one part & James Brassell of the same State & County of Jones, of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Morris for an in consideration of the Sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid at & before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained Sold conveyed & Confirmed & by these presents doth grant bargain Sell convey and confirm unto the same James Brassell his heirs & assigns all that tract parcel or lot of land containing containing two hundred two & a half acres Situate lying binding butting & being in the State of Georgia in Jones County on the waters of the Ocmulgee River and this said Lot of land is known & distinguished in the plan of the Twelvth district of Baldwin by the number two hundred and five which was drawn by Elijah Hitchen (?) and granted to him by his Excellency Jarrd Irwin on the Eleventh day of October in the year Eighteen hundred and eight To have and to hold the same Lot of land with all and Singular the rights members & appurtainances thereof whatsoever to the said Land and premises being belonging or in any wise appertaining with the remainders and reversions rents issues & profits thereof to the only proper benefit and behoof of him the said James Brassell his heirs & assigns in fee Simple and the said William Morris his heirs & assigns the said bargained lands and premises the said James Brassell his heirs & assigns against the said William Morris his heirs & assigns & all and every other person or persons Whomsoever shall and will warrant forever defend by Virtue of these presents. In Witness whereof the said William Morris doth hereunto set his hand and affix his Seal the day and year first above Written Signed Seal'd & delivered in the presents of John Grimsley, Wm (his+mark) Harris.
