1771 – May 14, Gift – DAVID (his mark) DUNLAP, yeoman, to his son GEORGE DUNLAP, for love & affection 350 acres on Bullocks Creek in CRAVEN COUNTY., bounding NE on DAVID TERRY; other sides on vacant land. 1786 – August 31, SAMUEL BOYKIN at Wateree River, SC, planter, and ELIZABETH, his wife, to ISRAEL MATHIS of Swift Creek, state aforesaid, mill wright, for 10 pounds sterling, tract on Swift Creek where the sd ISRAL MATHIS hath lately erected a saw and grist mill, 310 acres adj. land of JACOB BRAZELL, MILLS LILY, ISHAM MOORE, Mrs. ENGLISH, SAMUEL BOYKIN particularly 9 ½ acres at the head of Mrs.ENGLISH’s land for the purpose of extending his mill-dam (plat included) dated 9 August 1786 by Peter Cassity Dep. 1789 – July 14, JOHN BRAZELL of WINTON COUNTY to JAMES JACKSON, for 50 pounds sterling, tract on Upper Three Runs, between Toms branch and Stamp branch, granted to LEWIS WEATHERSBY and conveyed to HANNAH CONWAY, 5 June 1786, 40 acres…..JOHN BRAZELL (Seal) Wit: JAMES JACKSON, Junr., JACOB BRAZELL. 1806 – April 1, WILLIAM JENKINS of NEWBERRY DISTRICT for $400 to HENRY KESLER of same, tract on waters of the beaverdam of Saluda 179 1/8 acres partly the same land granted and conveyed by ISAAC COOK of Laurens County to said WILLIAM JENKINS 15 July 1799 and recorded in Newberry District Book E, page 45. . . dated 1 April 1806. Briggs deceased line. Containing 300 acres. Originally surveyed for Mr. Cunningham. Dated this 2 September 1840. Witness: Henry Davis, Nathan Davis. Signed: John (X) Crane. Seal.
